Flint Group, a Luxembourg based supplier to the printing and packaging industry, has announced the formation of a new division combining its printing plates business with the Rotec sleeve business.
The announcement comes following Flint Group’s acquisition of Rotec in 2007. The new division, called Flint Group Flexographic Products, will combine Flint Group Printing Plates activities with Rotec, which manufactures sleeves and adapter systems for flexo applications.
Charles Knott, Flint Group’s CEO, says the new business unit will provide new opportunities for the growth of photopolymer sleeves: “The new global business unit will bring in-depth expertise in the field of flexography and leverage this potential for the benefit of our customers and us,” he says. Thomas Telser, former president of Flint Group Printing Plates, has been tabbed as the president of the new division.
