York Label, headquartered in Omaha, NE, USA, continues its expansion with the acquisition of Etiprak S.A. through its Cameo-Marinetti joint venture, and a 50 percent interest in Etiquetas Industriales Ltda., both located in Santiago, Chile. Combined with the Cameo-Marinetti venture, the acquisitions create the largest single provider of labels in the Chilean market, according to York.
Founded in 1982, Etiprak was the first Chilean company to produce pressure sensitive labels for the wine industry, and its customers include several Fortune 100 Companies. The company prints with combination flexo, screen foil stamping, embossing and laminating. In 2007, the company began the manufacturing of decorative shrink sleeve labels.
Etiquetas Industriales produces pressure sensitive labels primarily for the consumer products market. It was launched in 2006 by Marinetti Packaging.
“We are extremely pleased to announce the acquisition of Etriprak and Etiquetas Industriales,” says Rich Egan, president and CEO of York Label. “These new partnerships provide us with a commanding leadership position in the Chilean wine and spirits market. We expect to continue executing our strategy to expand our platform to become a pre-eminent global provider of
premium labeling solutions to the consumer products, wine and spirits, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage markets.”
York Label has 13 production facilities with over 800 employees throughout North and South America.
