Evonik to increase prices for organics and silicones

Effective July 1, 2008, Evonik Goldschmidt Corporationís Industrial Specialties and Household Care business lines will increase prices for products marketed in North America.

Effective July 1, 2008, Evonik Goldschmidt Corporation’s Industrial Specialties and Household Care business lines will increase prices for products marketed in North America.  

Silicone surfactants and specialty silicone additives will increase up to $0.24/lb depending on the product. Organic products including quaternary compounds, surfactants, amine derivatives and specialty organic additives will increase up to $0.29/lb depending on the product. Select products will be subject to higher increases.

Rising raw materials, energy, and transportation costs were cited as the major reasons for the increase.
