Six Multi-Plastics plants gain AIB compliance

August 6, 2008

The company’s facilities are now certified for food contact packaging manufacturing.

Multi-Plastics Inc., Lewis Center, OH, USA, has announced that in addition to its Ohio facility, the company’s plants in New Jersey, Georgia, Illinois, California, and Canada have been audited and passed, on their first attempts, the AIB Consolidated Standards as food contact packaging manufacturing facilities this year.

AIB International (American Institute of Baking) is committed to protecting the safety of the food supply chain and delivering high value technical and educational programs. Meeting AIB compliance with the standards set forth for overall product safety throughout all facilities shows a company’s commitment and dedication to flexible packaging, carton and label customers who manufacturer food contact products.

Since 1979, Multi-Plastics has been a slitter and converter of thin gauge plastic film in rolls or sheets, serving the envelope, carton, printing, and packaging industries. The company has eight plants in the US, Canada and the UK.
