Ashland Performance Materials has unveiled its Purelam Fastcure solventless laminating adhesives at Labelexpo. The adhesives are aliphatic polyurethane based and are FDA compliant for a variety of end-use products.
“This environmentally friendly technology will allow converters to speed their process and reduce energy costs,” said Dave Hatgas, director of sales for Ashland’s specialty polymers and adhesives. “Purelam Fastcure laminating adhesives bring converters value by delivering a final cure at ambient temperature in only two days.”
The adhesives feature zero aromatic amines and meet the regulatory requirements for use in medical, hot-fill and cook-in-bag applications. Two formulations, 110/240 and 10/230, are currently available.
