Avery Dennison has teamed up with EskoArtwork and ExxonMobil Chemical to ensure color guaranteed printing for digital label converters.
Last year at Labelexpo Europe, EskoArtwork and ExxonMobil Chemical introduced PacVantage software and technology for digitally printed labels. In this market segment, where the predominant printing technology is provided by HP Indigo, the companies offered a color guarantee providing converters that print with PacVantage technology on ExxonMobil Chemical's Digilyte polyolefin films the assurance that they will be able to make color adjustments during the proofing stage and match them on press with little or no adjustment.
Now, Avery Dennison has joined the two companies to introduce self adhesive rollstock faced with Digilyte. This will allow narrow web converters using EskoArtwork software with PacVantage technology to buy Avery Dennison self-adhesive labels faced with Digilyte films that activate the color guarantee.
"Globally, Avery Dennison offers the broadest range of substrates for the HP Indigo press. As the leader in the market, we could immediately see the advantage of joining EskoArtwork and ExxonMobil Chemical, two other leaders, to participate in this exciting offer," remarked Brian Oost, business lines development manager, Avery Dennison Roll Materials. "Cleary, the opportunity for the label printer is enormous."
