September 11, 2008

The company’s laser diecutter can work at speeds greater than 100 feet per minute.

Digital inkjet has expanded greatly in the label market, and one of the recent entrants in to the field is Delta Industrial Services, manufacturer of custom converting machinery. The company’s booth at Labelexpo featured its four-color inkjet unit mounted inline with a laser diecutter.

The company has equipped its inkjet printer with Xaar print heads, and has partnered with LasX on the Edge laser cutter.

Also on display at Labelexpo was the Spectrum machine, featuring a flexo print head, a semi-rotary die station equipped with a magnetic cylinder for flexible dies, a slitter rewinder, and an island placement system that allows for application of a label to another web in the unit. The entire system can also be equipped with a vision inspection system.
