EFI adds variable data printing to the Jetrion 4000

September 11, 2008

New ink set is available, allowing printing on a wide variety of uncoated substrates.

The EFI Jetrion 4000 UV inkjet press offered several new features to the narrow web marketplace this year, including variable data printing and a pre-diecut label printing function.

The 4000 is now able to print 1D and 2D bar codes as well as variable text, numbers and graphics, enabling users to produce security products and other variable data applications. A new CMYK ink set is now available, which enables Jetrion users to print on lower-cost uncoated stock and a wide variety of synthetic materials.

On display at Labelexpo was a Jetrion press printing onto pre-diecut labels. That means users can purchase blank diecut labels, run them through the digital press and produce finished labels.
