Improvements to Helios II

Advanced Vision Technology (AVT), a leader in the vision inspection equipment market, presented a new version of its popular Printvision/Helios technology. Helios II has a renewed platform, new hardware and software and more features. AVT has also developed an inspection program for 2D bar codes, a challenging procedure because the system must read each code, verify it against the installed database, find any defective codes or duplicates, all at high rewind speeds. The company’s new Braille inspection system will verify invisible raised codes atop existing visible print in order to meet pending EU requirements for Braille inclusion on specific products.
