RotoControl, a provider of high speed inspection, cutting and rewinding finishing machines for the label industry has officially launched operations at its manufacturing facility in Ahrensburg, Germany. The new company integrates servo drive technology in its line of inspection, slitting and diecutting machines.

“More productivity. More quality,” says Marco Aengenvoort, RotoControl’s managing director. “Our machines are a result of integrated development meeting the needs of our customers looking for simple and intuitive operations, the highest degree of automation, full integration of all components and modular design. With our top model, the RSI 430, we are certainly at the forefront of the development of label control machines with integrated inspection systems.”

The RotoControl RSI slitter/rewinder/inspection machines come standard with the company’s S−Drive web control, onboard unwind, label/length counting, and crush knife slitting. With a modular structure it can also be individually tailored to customer needs or can be upgraded in the future. Modules currently available include: inspection, shear and razor slitting, diecutting (with or without registration), sheeting, separate unwind as well as laminating and printing modules.

Available globally, RotoControl offers machines from smaller basic models to larger, more sophisticated servo-driven models that use RotoControl’s S−Drive technology designed for maximum web control for the most delicate film and foil materials.
