Avery Dennison RFID, Flowery Branch, GA, USA, announced that it has entered the high frequency (HF) market for RFID inlays with the introduction of three new platform products.

“Expanding our product portfolio into HF enables us to offer the best product for any given application,” says Jack Farrell, vice president and general manager, Avery Dennison RFID. “While we offer a broad array of industry-leading UHF products, many of our customers have asked us to enter the high frequency arena. Our new HF product line is a natural extension of our experience and success in developing RFID solutions for our customers.”

The HF RFID market typically includes media management, healthcare and asset tracking. Avery Dennison’s initial foray into this technology will include a portfolio of products to address these market segments. The company introduced three new HF platforms at April’s RFID Journal Live event in Orlando, FL, USA. The three products, AD-709, AD-714 and AD-720 are offered in a wide variety of configurations to meet application requirements.

Avery Dennison RFID is a business unit of Avery Dennison Corporation (NYSE:AVY), a global leader in pressure-sensitive labeling materials, retail tag, ticketing and branding systems, and office products. Based in Pasadena, CA, USA, Avery Dennison is a Fortune 500 Company with 2008 sales of $6.7 billion. It currently employs more than 36,000 individuals in 60 countries.
