Groupe Autajon, a French manufacturer of folding cartons and labels, has announced its takeover of the Bopack Group, a converter of pressure sensitive labels and sleeves. Bopack is headquartered in Wommelgem, Belgium.
“We decided to seize this important opportunity to complete our product range, to increase our international presence and to build on the similarities and synergies between the two companies in order to become a still better performing partner for our customers, especially in these technically demanding products,” says Gérard Autajon, CEO of Groupe Autajon.
Bopack is a leading European company in the manufacture of self-adhesive labels, with four sites in France (Rouen, Strasbourg, Lorient and Bazouges, close to Le Mans), one in Belgium and one site in Zeist, the Netherlands. “The integration of Bopack in Groupe Autajon guarantees the continuity of our projects, creates an unprecedented innovative force and gives access to a wider market and more market segments,” says Marc Boehlen, CEO and principal shareholder of Bopack. “Our 580 employees can rest assured that this integration offers the best possible chances of future success for their company.”
With the acquisition, Groupe Autajon now employs almost 3,000 people in 22 sites throughout Europe and the US.
