Two years after launching its X-Flex line, Omet displayed an eight-color press with a 430 mm web width featuring the newly developed “change on the fly” print capability. Winner of last year’s FTA Award for Innovation, the X-Flex has been the fastest selling press in the company’s history.
Completely new from Omet is the X-Jet 430, a four-color digital inkjet press that can stand alone or be installed inline with the X-Flex to work in combination with flexo, screen and laminating systems. The drop-on demand technology uses a diaphragm moved by electric impulses to inject the ink onto the substrate.
The company also has developed a finishing unit called the Mono Twin Cut, to be used with the X-Jet. The system on display at Labelexpo features rotary screen and flexo capability, cold foil application, and diecutting.
