Trebnick Systems, a custom process label and tag manufacturer, has purchased a new Mark Andy Performance Series P7 press for its Springboro, OH, USA, facility. The press is an eight-color, 17” (430 mm) water-based press with a final UV station and was installed in December.
The press features four die stations, a web turnbar and chilled impression rolls, with the capability of running clear film applications. Purchased primarily to improve efficiencies over existing equipment, the P7 was selected because of its production capabilities, material and overhead savings, and quick changeovers.
According to Gregg Trebnick, president of Trebnick Systems, the press "obsoletes every mechanical flexo press now printing in the world. We have built our business on pride and solutions one day at a time, and this press supercedes our expectations." Trebnick reports that the company has already seen success with the installation of this new technology. “Orders are in process which will result in up to $400,000 incremental business,” he adds.
"Mark Andy is excited to offer this technology to our valued customers like Trebnick Systems," states Paul Brauss, president of Mark Andy. "The opportunity to help our customers further their expertise and efficiencies in label and package printing is paramount. The Performance Series was designed for the converter, by the converter, and the recent success we have seen with multiple press sales is a sign that we fulfilled those requirements."
