The FTA Great Lakes Group (GLG) is in the process of finalizing details for its next meeting on March 18. The meeting will be held at 4:30 PM on the campus of Harper College in Palatine, IL, USA. The meeting will begin with a tour of the Harper College Graphic Arts facilities, followed by a series of speakers.
The speakers for the meeting have been announced as well as their discussion topics:
Dan Doherty, VP of Manufacturing for Prairie State Graphics, a narrow and mid-web printer, will be discussing how his company implemented FIRST standards in its facility to improve quality.
Roy Bohnen, Epson product specialist, will be discussing new color proofing technologies being introduced by Epson.
Ian Hole, VP market development for Esko Graphics, will be addressing Esko’s new high-def flexo capabilities.
Richard Black of All Printing Resources will give a presentation on G7.
Mary Mekeburg, a social media coach, will discuss incorporation of Twitter into social media marketing strategy.
Refreshments will be provided courtesy of DuPont. The cost is $10.00 for FTA members, seniors and students, and $15.00 for nonmembers. Proceeds generated will go to the FFTA Scholarship fund. RSVP to David Lanska, FTA Great Lakes Group chairman, at david.lanska@yahoo.com.
