March 15, 2010

The 8th annual event will feature dozens of label industry vendors and educational programs for graphic arts students.

NELMA – the North East Label Manufacturers Association, is preparing for its 8th Annual Expo and Networking Conference, scheduled for Thursday, April 22, at the Bridgewater Marriott in Bridgewater, NJ, USA. NELMA is a 15-year-old organization of label converters whose members come from many states in the Northeast USA.

The NELMA Expo will run from 1 to 7 pm, and will feature an exhibit hall for suppliers of products and services to the label printing industry. In recent years, up to 40 vendors have exhibited. One of the main aspects of the event is the opportunity to network, and the association has set aside the final two hours of the event for networking.

Traditionally, the Expo has included a seminar or two. This year, according to President Steve Miller, the educational program will be geared toward students who are pursuing a career in the graphic arts. NELMA has been working with Millersville University in Pennsylvania, and has in the past sponsored programs at Bergen Technical School in New Jersey.
