BBF Integrated Solutions, a converter in Clearwater, FL, USA and a Clondalkin Group company, has earned chain-of-custody certifications from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). The certifications mean that BBF utilizes forest products that are verified to have come from properly managed and sustainable sources. Chain of custody is the path taken by raw materials from the forest to the final consumer including all of the successive stages in between.
The certifications demonstrate “an exacting level of proficiency in product traceability, product storage and handling, invoicing, and record keeping through on-site audits by accredited third-party verifiers,” says Don Huttlin, CEO of BBF Integrated Solutions. “This requires us to take responsibility for our actions by improving our operations. We are driven by our belief in the value of conserving the planet’s resources. From a customer perspective, one can be sure that when printing with BBF they are also doing their part to protect the environment.”
BBF’s products and services include direct mail, specialty labels and plastic cards, as well as digital, web-based products and a proprietary e-commerce platform. The company has 50 years of industry experience serving a broad spectrum of customers throughout the Southeastern United States. Clondalkin Group, the parent company, is an internationally diversified packaging group with more than 40 separate manufacturing locations throughout North America and in 10 European countries and annual sales in excess of $1.2 billion.
