Omet to host open house in Italy

March 29, 2010

The event, with a focus on overcoming the recession, will feature live press demonstrations.

Omet, the Italian press manufacturer, will hold an open house for existing and potential customers who operate in the label and packaging markets. The event will take place April 28-30 at the company headquarters in Lecco, Italy. On display will be new products and materials to allow converters to “beat the recession.” There will be live machine demonstrations of Omet’s presses along with complementary equipment from the company’s technology partners.

“The forthcoming Open House has a very specific aim: to show attendees the wide range of materials and products that can be manufactured on Omet machines; to show quality and innovation; and to offer solutions for overcoming today’s difficult market conditions,” the company says. Supporting the information sessions will be a demo of the X-Flex, a high-end press for narrow web label printing; the Varyflex-F1, a combination print and finishing platform for packaging production; and the brand new medium width VaryFlex 850 (33" press), designed for converters who want to invest in packaging equipment.

Omet’s headquarters in Lecco cover a total of 8,000 square meters across two sites. The company has joint ventures in Spain and China, as well as an extensive network of agents and distributors in over 70 countries. Matik, Inc., West Hartford, CT, USA, is the sales and service agent for Omet in the US and Canada.
