Keller Crescent, a supplier of secondary packaging products in North America for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, has been named by Eli Lilly & Company a winner of the 2009 Lilly Global Sustained Supplier Award. The award was created to commend the efforts of organizations who contribute to Lilly’s competitive edge by demonstrating an exemplary commitment to quality, service, speed and total cost reduction. In addition, York Label has been named Tyson Food’s Supplier of the Year for the direct materials category.
“In the midst of the tough global economic environment, we have continued to work with Lilly to find ways to control and lower costs. It’s the epitome of a true partnership,” says Dan Luedke, VP/GM for Keller Crescent’s Indianapolis Division. The company, part of the Clondalkin Group, supplies printed pharmaceutical folding cartons, inserts and outserts, pharmaceutical labels, patient booklets, IV hanger labels, and several patented specialty products – including track-and-trace and e-pedigree technologies. Its headquarters is in Greensboro, NC, USA.
York Label’s award from Tyson Foods is based on continuous improvement contributions, performance surveys from Tyson locations, order fill rate and customer satisfaction performance, sales and technical support, ease of doing business and diversity support efforts.
“We value the relationships we have with all of our strategic suppliers and are especially proud of this year’s award winners,” says Tyson Group VP Hal Carper. “These are suppliers that actively seek innovation and ways to promote efficiency. Their support helps us in our efforts to provide consistently superior protein products and services to our customers.”
“We are honored and very appreciative to have been selected as Tyson’s Supplier of the Year for the direct materials category. We value our long standing relationship with Tyson and work hard to ensure we deliver the very best value, service and innovation,” says Dave Klotter, York Label’s vice president of sales and marketing.
York Label, based in Omaha, NE, USA, manufactures labels and packaging for such industries as wine and spirits, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage.
