Squid Ink Manufacturing, Brooklyn Park, MN, USA, a manufacturer of inks and inkjet printing equipment, has announced the signing of Mailtech Mailing Systems Inc. to distribute Squid Ink’s VDP In-Line variable data printing system. Eaglewood Technologies, LLC, Minneapolis, MN, makers of anilox roll-cleaning system Sani-Blast, is also introducing the VDP system to its product line, becoming an authorized representative.
Mailtech Mailing Systems, located in Deer Park, NY, USA is a systems integrator specializing in factory automation and systems engineering, and will supply Squid Ink customers in New York and surrounding areas in the Northeast region.
The VDP In-Line variable data printing system prints up to 8.4” of any variable data, like sequential numbers, sequential bar codes, traceability codes, or game codes on tickets, tags and labels. The system mounts to an existing web press or rewind station and prints in-line, thus avoiding having to take labels off-line to print variable information with thermal transfer labels. Each printhead uses a 2.1” print engine, so no stitching is necessary. This improves print quality and eliminates the need of keeping individual printheads aligned properly. Up to four printheads can be added per controller.
Squid Ink also has manufacturing facilities in Spring Lake Park, MN, and Shanghai, China.
