Multi-Color and Yerecic Label receive TLMI LIFE certification

July 12, 2010

Certification signifies successful implementation of sustainable practices.

Multi-Color Corporation and Yerecic Label have recently been awarded LIFE (Label Initiative for the Environment) certification from TLMI, the Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute. Project LIFE was developed in order to assist TLMI members to find cost effective ways to reduce their companies’ environmental footprint. LIFE is a program designed specifically for the narrow web marketplace and addresses four major elements of the narrow web printing and converting industry: clean production, energy and greenhouse gases, product and environmentally preferable materials, and management practices.

Frank Sablone, TLMI president, says, “I would like to congratulate Multi-Color and Yerecic Label on their recent TLMI LIFE certification. The central objective in developing the LIFE initiative was to offer the association’s members a credible and comprehensive program that addresses their sustainability requirements, and the opportunity to take their LIFE certification to their own customer base to further demonstrate their commitment to the environment, and to the greater industry. I applaud our certified members for their efforts and dedication.”
