October 18, 2010

The Baltimore acquisition brings MPI’s locations in the USA to nine.

MPI Label Systems has acquired the assets of ROI Printing Companies LLC, located in Baltimore, MD, USA. The acquisition by MPI raises the number of its US facilities to nine, increases its labor force to 550, and brings its sales locations to 35. The former ROI will be called MPI Labels of Baltimore, and will provide the same products and service to the beverage, direct mail, cosmetic, and other markets that ROI had serviced since 1987.

MPI of Baltimore provides printed unsupported film, pressure sensitive and paper labels, as well as heat seal pouching, thermformable APET, and other specialty packaging. In addition to various narrow web printing and finishing equipment, the Baltimore location offers wide web printing capabilities on a Bellioni 41.5” wide central impression servo press with inline laminating and back side printing.

MPI Label Systems, founded in 1968, is based in Sebring, OH.
