November 8, 2010

The first sustainable squeeze pack packaging conference addressed issues associated with single-serve food packaging.

Label Technology, Inc., a flexographic converter of PS labels and flexible packaging, announced that it participated in the first sustainable squeeze pack packaging conference held in Boulder, CO, October 6-7, 2010. The summit was conceived to address sustainability issues associated with single-serve food packaging.

Invited to provide the converter’s viewpoint, Dave Bankson, Label Technology’s vice president of R&D, presented information on alternative film structures available to converters at this time and the associated manufacturing issues.

Label Technology agreed to continue to work with manufacturers, film and resin suppliers to move towards a renewable film structure by Earth Day 2011. As a company, Label Technology’s goal is to implement sustainability practices that help reduce its carbon footprint and minimize environmental
impact.

Label Technology is based in Merced, CA, USA.
