J&H to distribute Squid’s inkjet system

November 30, 2010

The Squid unit prints variable data inline in widths up to 8.4”.

Squid Ink Manufacturing, a producer of inks and inkjet printing equipment, has retained J&H Printing Solutions to distribute Squid Ink’s VDP In-Line variable data printing system. J&H, located in Pewaukee, WI, is a distributor for manufacturers of flexographic printing and converting equipment primarily focusing on the packaging and labeling markets in North America. Since 2005, J&H has placed 15 flexo presses and a variety of converting equipment in the US and Mexico.

The VDP In-Line variable data printing system prints up to 8.4” of any variable data: sequential numbers, sequential bar codes, traceability codes, or game codes on tickets, tags and labels. The system mounts on a narrow web press or rewind/inspection unit and prints inline to avoid taking labels offline to print variable information with thermal transfer printers.

Headquartered in Brooklyn Park, MN, USA, Squid Ink also has manufacturing facilities in Spring Lake Park, MN, and Shanghai, China.
