Label manufacturer LGInternational, Portland, OR, USA, has launched a line of EZ-Indicator chemical process indicating labels for gamma irradiation and autoclave sterilization. EZ-Indicator labels combine a sterile process indication strip with a thermal transfer printable, print-on-demand label – eliminating the need for a separate label and indicator, such as autoclave indicating dots or gamma indicating tapes.
EZ-Indicator Autoclave labels feature a 0.25” autoclave indicating strip along the edge that changes from a barely visible cream to a light pink when exposed to temperatures in excess of 280º F (138º C), typical of steam autoclaves.
EZ-Indicator Gamma labels feature a 0.25” gamma indicating strip along the edge that changes from yellow to red when exposed to gamma radiation.
“Many of our customers have been using autoclave indicating tapes or gamma indicating dots in addition to a separate batch or tracking label,” says Jean Roque, VP of sales and marketing. “We’re pleased to offer an alternative that saves time and money by combining both features into one convenient solution.”
LGInternational develops labeling solutions for demanding markets, including semiconductor, storage media, life sciences, and electronics. LGI manufactures clean room labels, product identification and bar code labels, high temperature labels, cryogenic and chemical process indicating labels, front panel overlays, membrane switches, diecut parts, ESD/RFI/EMI insulators and shields, thermal molded and film insert molded 3D parts, regulatory compliant labels (UL, CSA, RoHS, WEEE), and tamper, temperature and moisture indicating labels.
