The company also names an agent in the Czech and Slovak republics.

Rotocontrol, based in Ahrensburg, Germany, has acquired its first customer in India. Through its Indian agent, Weldon Celloplast, Rotocontrol has sold a slitter rewinder inspection machine to Zircon, a label converter in Noida, near New Delhi.

“This order was achieved through a combination of superior technology offering, a previous positive client relationship, and the availability of local agent support," says Ralph Beier, international sales manager for Rotocontrol. “It shows that customers want a complete package including reliable support as well as technology.”

Features of the RSC slitter rewinder inspection machine that were key in the converter’s purchasing decision were automatic tension control, missing label system and S-Drive servo driven operation.

Rotocontrol also has announced the appointment of P-service ZIKA as its agency in the Czech and Slovak republics. P-service, based in Prague, Czech Republic, will market the company’s inspection, slitting, rewinding, and diecutting finishing machines.

“P-servis ZIKA has a strong team of sales consultants and technicians to provide complete service to customers with Finishing Machines and other printing-related product in Czech Republic and Slovak Republic,” says Beier.

Vaclav Samsa, managing director of P-servis, adds, “We represent a broad range of reputable printing-related technology in the label industry. The Rotocontrol line complements our current offering for converters, and our technical service expertise with finishing machine technology is a natural fit.”
