The Japanese graphic arts specialist will focus on the label sector with a dedicated portfolio.

Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, will gain access to the market potential of the Japanese label printing sector following its distributor agreement with Kobundo, a Japanese company with 60 years of experience as a distributor of printing equipment.

“We are dedicated to growing our distributor channels to assure the most comprehensive and responsive support for our customers,” says Wim Maes, CEO of Punch Graphix, Lier, Belgium. “Kobundo is a well known and respected company and we are delighted to be able to work together to better service this developing market.”

Hideaki Sanuki, president of Kobundo, adds, “We are pleased to have added these Xeikon solutions into our product line. We are sure that our broad experience and knowledge about the label printing industry will strongly contribute to offer ways we can help customers add value in the market.”

Xeikon manufactures toner-based digital label presses. Kobundo demonstrated the Xeikon 3300 and 3500 presses at a private showing in Nagoya last week.
