February 1, 2011

The new topcoat offers a matte finish and improved printability for a variety of prime film applications.

MACtac Printing Products, Stow, OH, USA, has enhanced its Vivid prime film labelstocks line with what it says is a new, robust topcoat for optimal print receptivity.

The new topcoat will be available on two Vivid 3.4-mil soft white vinyl stocks and is the same topcoat used on several of MACtac’s Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) recognized durable film products.

The new topcoat offers a matte finish and improved printability for a variety of prime film applications, including labels for health and beauty products, food and beverages, chemical and cleaner containers, and more.

“MACtac continues to develop its expertise in high-performance film solutions and is always looking for ways to enhance our Vivid prime film label stocks to offer customers improved performance and benefits unique to their applications,” says Kim Hensley, product manager, MACtac Printing Products. “We are pleased to offer a new topcoat that enhances our industry leading prime films line and allows us to help customers achieve the superior printability they demand.”

MACtac's Vivid line features a range of high-clarity, clear films as well as white and clear fully squeezable films available in multiple liner choices designed for full-squeeze, semi-squeeze and rigid containers.
