KPG sells SMAG press to Imprimerie Ste-Julie

February 7, 2011

The Canadian converter sought to improve its printing versatility in the wine and cosmetic sectors.

KPG Corporation, formerly Ko-Pack, has installed an SMG Digital Galaxie press, manufactured by SMAG Graphique, at Imprimerie Ste-Julie in Quebec, Canada. KPG represents SMAG, a French company, in North America.

The SMG Digital Galaxie includes a semi-rotary flexo unit, a hot stamping and embossing unit, a flat screen unit, as well as a semi-rotary cutter. Imprimerie Ste-Julie’s objective was to bring the company to a greater level of printing versatility, and chose SMAG equipment for its reputation high-end printing, particularly in the wine label and cosmetic sectors.

“With this added value, increasing demands from progressive customers can now be readily accomplished,” says Caroline Fournier, VP Sales, Imprimerie Ste-Julie.
