McDowell declines top post at Flint Group

February 7, 2011

The candidate earlier named to head the packaging/narrow web inks division has withdrawn for personal reasons.

Flint Group has announced that Daniel F. McDowell, who had been named president of global packaging/narrow web for the company in January, will not be joining the company.

According to Flint Group CEO Antoine Fady, “Dan has asked us to state on his behalf that he sincerely regrets that he will not be able to take up the position of president - global packaging/narrow web, for personal and family reasons. After a sabbatical leave, he will be returning to the USA to pursue other interests outside of the printing inks industry, and wishes Flint Group continued success in the future.

“Whilst this is obviously disappointing news, I am confident that the packaging /narrow web leadership team will continue the strong development of our packaging business and further build on the positive momentum that they have generated.”
