Sign Factory adopts Squid inkjet technology

February 14, 2011

The company uses the variable information printer to produce claim tickets for the valet parking industry.

The Sign Factory, a marketer of supplies for the valet parking business based in Los Angeles, CA, USA, has installed a Squid Ink VDP In-Line Printing System for the manufacture of valet claim tickets.

The variable information printer was installed on a 13” Ekofa press and is used to print sequential numbers on valet tickets. The system was sold through J&H Printing Systems, a distributor for Squid Ink Manufacturing.

The VDP In-Line Printing System prints up to 8.4” of any variable data – sequential numbers, sequential bar codes, traceability codes, or game codes – on tickets, tags and labels. The system mounts to an existing narrow web flexo press or rewind inspection unit and prints inline to avoid taking labels offline to print variable information with thermal transfer printers or other devices.
