GM Nameplate, Seattle, WA, USA, has received a 2010 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. GM Nameplate maintained a Silver composite performance rating from Oct. 1, 2009 to Sept. 30, 2010.
This year, Boeing recognized 558 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. GM Nameplate is one of 417 suppliers to receive the Silver level of recognition.
Since receiving its initial Boeing order in 1960, GM Nameplate has provided the aerospace giant with placards, labels and panels for the interiors of all major aircraft programs. “We are honored to receive Boeing’s Supplier Excellence Award for the third year in a row,” says Brad Root, president of GM Nameplate. “We have set this as our standard and we appreciate Boeing acknowledging that we are continuing to support them at this high level. Boeing continues to be a great partner and has really helped to further develop us into a better company for all stakeholders. On behalf of all the employees of GM Nameplate, we thank Boeing for this award.”
Established in 1954, GM Nameplate specializes in the custom design and manufacture of branding components including nameplates, decals, labels and custom panels; electronic input devices such as membrane switches, rubber keypads and touch screens; decorated and molded plastic components; value added assemblies; and large format digital graphics. The company is privately owned and employs nearly 1,000 people at facilities in California, North Carolina, Oregon, Washington (2), Canada, and Asia.
