Press manufacturer Omet will host an open house for existing and potential customers next week at its headquarters in Lecco, Italy. The event will start March 9 and conclude on the 11th. Among the new equipment on display will be the 430 VaryFlex combination press, including offset groups, bound for a converter in Turkey.

The offset group, which made its appearance at Labelexpo Europe 2007, is a compendium of technology, printing precision and robustness for the printing of added-value labels, according to Omet. In addition to offset it offers rotogravure, flexo, screen, foiling, and converting.

Omet also will show a 430 X-Flex press, winner of the FTA Innovation Award in 2008 and the Label Industry Award for Continuous Innovation in 2010, with flexo, screen and converting groups; and a 530 VaryFlex machine with a mix of printing technologies, specifically rotogravure and flexo, for the printing of flexible packaging film. Other machines on view will be a 530 VaryFlex for the printing of heavy-duty cartons, and a 670 VaryFlex with in-line lamination.

Customers will be invited to tour the company production halls and assist in live demos.
