Rogers' R/bak cushion mounting materials were used on eight flexographic print jobs that won FlexoStar awards given out in December 2010 by the French Flexographic Technical Association (FTA).
The French FTA FlexoStar Award competition, now in its 26th year, covers printing from narrow web to post-print corrugated, and is judged by a jury of eight flexo specialists representing repro houses, ink manufacturers, substrate suppliers, and printers.
R/bak cushion mounting materials earned eight FlexoStar awards in the following print categories: three awards for narrow web; two awards for flexible packaging, and three awards for post-print corrugated.
Additionally, Rogers SA 2115 product won the coveted Super Flexo Grand Prix given by the French label printer association, UNFEA, at its Salon de L’Emballage exhibition in Paris. This marks the second year in a row that R/bak cushion mounting tapes have won the Super Flexo Grand Prix.
“Rogers R/bak material has won many FlexoStar awards over the quarter century of French FTA award events,” commented Fabien Gabert of CODIPAG France, the French distributor of R/bak materials based in Lyon. “With the increasing use of digital flexo plates, more and more printers are turning to Rogers’ compressibles because they provide the dot gain control that is critical in achieving perfect print results. Using R/bak materials, a printer has much more pressure control on high resolution print runs.”
