Multi-Color receives 4th LIFE certification

June 29, 2011

The company’s plant in Scottsburg, IN, has successfully passed its environmental audit.

The Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute has awarded LIFE certification to Multi-Color Corporation’s Scottsburg, IN, USA, facility, the fourth of the company’s plants to receive the designation. Project LIFE (Label Initiative for the Environment) was developed to assist TLMI members to find cost effective ways to reduce their companies’ environmental footprint. LIFE is a program designed specifically for the narrow web marketplace and addresses four key elements of the narrow web printing and converting industry: clean production, energy and greenhouse gases, product and environmentally preferable materials and management practices.

Frank Sablone, TLMI President, comments, “I congratulate Multi-Color Corporation on its recent TLMI LIFE certification. This is Multi-Color’s fourth facility to become certified and reinforces the company’s unwavering commitment to its customers, its employees, and to the environment. The program has been extremely successful and the TLMI Board of Directors continues to prioritize the program's exposure and outreach in the marketplace.”
