UPM Raflatac has launched a 2.6 mil PP Hi-Opacity White TC film labelstock for the Americas markets. The bright white, highly opaque film provides customers with a lower-cost alternative to traditional pearlescent white films, the company says.
“We’re pleased to add 2.6 mil PP Hi-Opacity White TC to our high quality film labelstock range,” says Patrick Goss, prime business director, Americas, UPM Raflatac. “These products are ideal for customers looking for attractive, value-conscious alternatives to our PP Pearlescent White selection of films.”
The new film is targeted to health and beauty, pharmaceuticals and food labeling applications. Designed for flexographic printing with film inks, this facestock’s bright white appearance showcases multi-colored graphics and text to their best advantage, even when reverse-printed, Goss adds. The products are available with RP37, the company’s water-based emulsion adhesive for films, and a variety of paper and film liners.
