Ashland changes product name

The range of UV/EB coatings currently called NWC will transition to its new name by the end of the year.

Ashland Performance Materials, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc., has renamed its NWC product line to PureRad in an effort to provide clarity to its customers. NWC products are a range of UV/EB coatings and adhesives.

“Ashland produces a broad range of UV/EB coatings and adhesives used for labels, commercial printing and flexible packaging industries,” said Rick Stokes, product manager for coatings and adhesives. “These products offer high aesthetics and superior performance, and by renaming the product line to PureRad, we pull together all of Ashland’s high-quality UV/EB coatings and adhesives under one strong brand.”

“Cooperating with customers to consistently bring value is standard practice at Ashland. Our application and process experience, coupled with our range of technology solutions, help our customers balance performance and sustainability with faster curing, reduced volatile organic compounds (VOC) and lower applied costs,” Stokes added.

Ashland Performance Materials a global producer of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins. Ashland Inc. provides products for a wide variety of markets and applications, including architectural coatings, automotive, construction, energy, food and beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical, tissue and towel, and water treatment.
