Kopco Graphics buys Techpak

November 1, 2011

Techpak’s midweb capabilities will become Kopco’s new Flexible Packaging Division.

Label converter Kopco Graphics has acquired Techpak Inc., Franklin, OH, USA. Techpak is a converter of flexible packaging specializing in midweb flexographic printing, as well as hot melt/heat sealed coatings and laminations. Techpak’s product line includes food pouches, candy wraps, pharmaceutical applications, spiral labels, chewing gum packaging, film laminations, bar soap wrappers, and tissue and foil laminations for the soap industry.

Doug Kopp, Kopco’s chairman and founder, says that Techpak is now the Flexible Packaging Division of Kopco Graphics. “Having known Jerry Parish for more than 20 years and having worked with Techpak on various projects during that time, I am very excited that Kopco is able to offer the converting and management expertise of both companies to our current and future customers. Since 1984, Techpak has provided a high level of quality flexible packaging products. We are pleased to be able to offer our customers a broader range of products for their packaging requirements through this acquisition.”

Parish, President of Techpak, adds, “We’re pleased with this acquisition. The additional purchasing and sales power will allow us to expand our marketing agenda both domestically and internationally.” The Techpak management and production team will continue to operate out of the Franklin, OH, location.

Kopco Graphics is a pressure sensitive label manufacturer with locations in Fairfield, OH, and Bradenton, FL, USA. Kopco’s products include four color process labels, instant redeemable coupons, promotional labels, and more. The company was founded in 1989, and is a three-time winner of the Eugene Singer Award for Best Managed Company, presented by the Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute.
