Novamelt develops new PS adhesives

The new PS hotmelt adhesives are designed for deep freezer label applications.

Novamelt Adhesives, Archdale, NC, USA, has developed new PS hotmelt adhesives for deep freezer label applications. The new Novamelt PS 3040 and PS 3060 are designed for food labels that are applied at temperatures below the freezing point. According to the company, the PS 3040 features an outstanding tack performance in cold conditions down to -4° F (-20°C). The PS 3060 goes down to -15° F (-25°C). Both adhesives boast low facestock penetration and adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including film and cardboard.

Novamelt-Jowat LLC is a manufacturer of adhesives for label, tape, medical, hygiene, and industrial products manufacturing. The company was founded in 2005 as a joint venture between Novamelt Germany and Jowat Corporation.
