Customark, a label converter based in the West Midlands, UK, has acquired an Edale Alpha five color press to join its other two Edale machines.
“The Alpha offers us the ability to print, sprocket, perforate, undercut, cut and laminate, as well as back slit and trim the labels in any combination of our customers' requirements,” says Barry Foster, Customark’s production manager. “This new press also has a cold foil unit on it to enable us to produce higher quality labels.”
The Alpha has a short web path and offers quick job change, with the ability to print up to five colors in a footprint of 2.5 square meters.
“The versatility, reliability and quality of print of our first Edale proved to be so good that we now have two of Edale's latest machines, which we believe are amongst the best on the market,” Foster adds. “Even with our heavy investment in new digital technologies and screen printing, we still rely heavily on our Alphas to cope with 27 percent of our printed label business."
