Spencer, MA-based FLEXcon has recently been awarded LIFE (Label Initiative for the Environment) certification from TLMI, the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute. The Project LIFE program was developed in order to assist TLMI members to find cost effective ways to reduce their companies’ environmental footprint.
LIFE is a program designed specifically for the narrow web marketplace and addresses four key elements of the narrow web printing and converting industry: clean production, energy and greenhouse gases, product and environmentally preferable materials and management practices.
“I would like to congratulate FLEXcon on their recent TLMI LlFE certification," says Frank Sablone, TLMI president. "As we continue to see, the LIFE Certification Program delivers tangible bottom-line benefits to both industry converters and their suppliers. A company long recognized for their commitment to the environment, and to their employees, I applaud FLEXcon for prioritizing LIFE Certification and for continuing to enforce their unwavering dedication to best environmental practices.”
