Labeltronix doubles its space with new plant

The California converter enhances its digital and flexo production with a large product showroom and “learning center” for customers.

Labeltronix, a converter in Anaheim, CA, USA, has doubled its work space with the move to a 50,000 square foot facility. The company recently celebrated the relocation with an open house, attended by industry suppliers and community business partners.

Gathering outdoors by the plant entrance for the ceremonial ribbon cutting, company President John Trail expressed his thanks to Labeltronix’s customers, whose support enabled the company to make the move to a larger space. “With our new facility, we are able to expand our digital and flexo printing even further to add capacity and capabilities for our loyal clientele – and for new customers, too. We look forward to adding new equipment in the near future,” he said.

Founded in 1993 by Dan Blair and Eric Shepard, Labeltronix has a strong presence in the wine labeling market, and also manufactures labels for regional craft brewers and customers in the food, nutraceuticals and personal care markets. From its beginning, Labeltronix has been active in sales and service of small format printers and supplies.

Inside, attendees were struck by the spacious gallery known as the Application and Learning Center. The walls of that space feature oversize photographs of products and people, and throughout the room are open shelves that feature the company’s products, along with comfortable chairs for visitors. Two adjacent meeting rooms are designed for client conferences and educational events.

Labeltronix prints with two HP Indigo 4000 series digital presses and a 13″ Nilpeter FA flexo press. Converting is accomplished using five Digicon finishing machines, in various sizes and configurations, from AB Graphic International. Inspection rewinders are from Rotoflex (Mark Andy) and Omega (AB Graphic).

Attending the open house were representatives from RotoMetrics, Nilpeter, AB Graphic, Wausau Coated Products, and Universal Engraving. Officials from the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce were there, along with members of the real estate and banking communities.
