Nuova Gidue s.r.l., a manufacturer of printing and converting machines for the labels and packaging industries, will unveil a new press line during an International Open House at its premises in Florence, Italy, February 14-16, 2012.
The new M7 Xpannd line offers full platform configuration flexibility, for the smooth interchangeability of printing and converting processes. Each print unit -- offset, flexo, screen, etc. -- can be removed and replaced on any platform in minutes. So too can the new format cassettes, the company says.
Integrated in a Lean working cell, the machines "Organizer" allows for easy and effective changeovers. The versatile press has also been designed to fit into limited space. For example, seven platforms and three die stations can be placed in less than an eight meter area.
"We wanted a compact, ultra-flexible labels and packaging press," says Sauro Salvadori, M7 project manager. “Floor spaces are limited and markets change rapidly, while the M7 can grow and adapt to multiple substrates or processes. We ended up with a top quality printing press, with the ‘look’ of an easy and accessible tool."
The open house will also highlight a new version of the M5 Digital Flexo Gidue press in operation. A new enhanced SW and HW will be unveiled to perform less than 20 meters of waste with an automated digital setup (pressure and register) without intervention of the operator.
Federico d'Annunzio, managing director, comments: "With the M7, Gidue completes a three-year program to renovate its product offering. We now serve the labels and packaging industry, from narrow to mid web, with a wide range of innovative technologies to produce added value and high quality performance."
