Keene Technology Incorporated (KTI), South Beloit, IL, USA, has announced the launch of its new Modular Converting Systems line, which will be showcased at Labelexpo in September. System features include full rotary and semi rotary diecutting, flexographic print/coating stations, laminating stations, hot foil/cold foil, inkjet print, folding carton diecut, pharmaceutical inspection and error detection.
To compliment KTI’s core product line of various butt splicing and turret rewinding products, KTI will now manufacture and sell a complete and expansive series of modular converting products that will address many applications that would typically be incorporated into an existing line. This allows KTI to offer a truly “turnkey” solution to any offline converting applications that face converters today. The modular capability also allows KTI to offer customers a machine that fills their needs for an efficient and Lean workflow, optimal performance and throughput and marginal waste. Along with its unwinds and rewinds, KTI can now supply a converter a virtual nonstop production system all from one single source manufacturer. The system is built from the operators point of view, and is designed to be user friendly and consequently a more productive profit generator within its environment by reducing setup waste and makeready time.
The KTI product line offers equipment that can be reconfigured or added to as the need of the work changes with the addition of the needed modules to perform the task. The KTI Modular Converting Systems will address applications in the label and tag, folding carton, ECL/booklets, digital finishing and nonwovens segments of the industry. The KTI Modular Converting Systems are also built in the USA. The equipment is being offered in web widths of 10” – 32”.
“The new path for KTI has been driven by our large customer base and their need to source a turnkey solution from one manufacturer that can control the entire process from the beginning to the end," says KTI's Andre Beaudoin. "The requirements by the industries we serve have driven us to become more technically advanced, resulting in high efficiency production capabilities with less downtime and substantially more production at the end of every shift for our customers.”
