NimCor introduces small bowed rolls

The company says its new Perma-Bow rolls help remove wrinkles and separate slit webs.

NimCor has introduced Perma-Bow bowed rolls, which the company says is ideal for narrow web applications such as removing web wrinkles or controlling separation of slit webs, The are available in sizes as small as 1-1/2 inch diameter. Perma-Bow rolls can operate at full line speed while the roll apex is rotated to aid in separating slit webs or eliminating soft spots and wrinkles.

Precision-engineered bearing housings with pedestal or flange mounts simplify installation and servicing. Larger Perma-Bow bowed rolls are available in 3-1/2 to 7-1/2 inch diameters with fixed or adjustable bows and optional drive pulley. Roll coverings are available to meet any web or environmental challenge. NimCor engineers specify roll geometry and coverings to meet each customer’s application.
