Universal Converting announces expansion

The UK-based slitter, winder and hot melt coating equipment manufacturer adds to it premises.

UK-based Slitting and coating equipment manufacturer Universal Converting Equipment have announced the purchase of an additional 4000 square feet of manufacturing space adjoining its existing Ipswich facility.

“The additional space will be used to complement our existing production areas and also to house a 2000 square feet show / demo room that customers will be able to visit for trials,” says Managing Director Dave Ward.

Universal Converting Equipment is a manufacturer of slitting machines, slitter rewinders, hot melt adhesive coating and laminating equipment. In addition to process based machinery, Universal also manufactures a range of other equipment, including automatic core cutters, drive and control systems, web guiding systems and differential winding shafts.
