EFI announces scholarship

October 16, 2012

Endowed through PGSF, the $25,000 scholarship will be granted annually to a student in the graphic communications industry.

EFI, a producer of customer-focused printing and packaging industry products, has announced the creation of a $25,000 endowed scholarship through the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) that will be granted annually to a student in the graphic communications industry. Housed under the same roof as Printing Industries of America, PGSF has managed the industry's largest scholarship program since its founding in 1956.

“An educated workforce is critical to our industry, and providing scholarships to help students in our field is important to everyone at EFI,” says Jeff White, general manager of EFI Monarch and PGSF board member. “EFI and PGSF staunchly believe that students who have chosen a career in our industry should have the full support of the industry, and one way to provide that support is by making education more affordable.”

“PGSF is dedicated to promoting careers in print and graphics, and we are happy that EFI shares our commitment to providing financial assistance to graphic communications students,” says Larry Kroll, vice president of development for PGSF. “EFI’s creation of an endowed scholarship is further proof that the company is dedicated to advancing our industry.”

PGSF is a not-for-profit, private, industry-directed organization that dispenses undergraduate college scholarships and graduate fellowship assistance to talented men and women interested in graphic communication careers. Individuals, companies, and associations provide both annual and endowed scholarship funds to PGSF, which administers the scholarship and fellowship programs for the industry.
