According to Webex CEO Gary Edwards, the move to consolidate NimCor operations in Wisconsin is part of a strategic plan to support and grow the brand. "We have established very focused initiatives to drive NimCor’s growth through customer-driven product innovations and value-added acquisitions. Parallel to these initiatives, we have a series of operational plans focusing on increased capacity through facility expansions and the application of lean initiatives. Bringing NimCor to Wisconsin has many advantages,” says Edwards. “Most importantly, this allows us to grow and enhance the product offering and provide the best value to our customers through Webex’s engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities.”
Edwards noted that the first of many investments in growing the NimCor product line is underway, including the recent purchase of new, state-of-the-industry carbon fiber winding machinery.
According to NimCor national sales manager Don Chapin, “The added support from Webex personnel along with good customer communications helped expedite the transition. With Webex’s additional resources, NimCor is now positioned better than ever to provide the superior customer service and product performance that converters and OEMs need.”
NimCor continues to provide air shafts, chucks and bowed rolls to both OEMs and converting customers throughout North American, Europe, South American and the Pacific Rim.
Chapin pointed out that NimCor customers can still use the same phone and fax numbers or email addresses to get technical support or to place orders. According to Chapin, “This move is an excellent opportunity for the NimCor brand. I know our customers will be very pleased with the support and product enhancements Webex will bring to the table. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
