Label Summit Latin America program announced

The biennial event is returning to Hotel Transamérica in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The full conference program for Label Summit Latin America 2013 has been unveiled as the biennial event returns to Hotel Transamérica in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Tackling global trends, the latest technologies, product enhancing features and investment opportunities for business growth, the two-day event is being held May 14-15.

Day one’s highlights include the keynote presentation being given by Maurício Médici, general manager of UPM Raflatac Brazil which will summarize global trends, highlight the main challenges facing converters and anticipate future trends. Other presentations include Fabián Silva of Innovo F&H and Xeikon’s Patrick Pittoors who will examine how to make digital printing more affordable and Fernando Gabel of Baumgarten Gráfica who will share best practices to make your company more sustainable.

The second day opens with Diageo’s supply chain director for Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil Marcelo Pimenta, underlining the promotional label opportunities available for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games. Pimenta will look at how to add value to your product offering, nurture commercial partnerships and offering specialty products. Hernán Braberman of Tridimage will cover developing unique label and structural packaging concepts including a roundup of the latest design trends and 3D branding case studies while Viña Ventisquero’s Nicholas Farias Torres will give an overview of the role of Latin American converters in wine labeling.
