Accraply has partnered with AWA Alexander Watson Associates to co-host the Introduction to Heat Shrink Sleeve Label Technologies Workshop in June of 2013.

Supported by Bonset America, Esko, Flint Group, and Polysack Flexible Packaging, the workshop will blend theory with practical hands-on demonstrations, and will include a "cures and remedies" panel discussion between workshop participants and industry specialists. Unique to this event is the on-site location of the workshop: at the Flint Group facility on day one, and the Accraply facility on day two – both located in Plymouth, MN.

On day one, a printing press will show real-time printing of shrink sleeve label material, as well as common challenges encountered during this process. In conjunction, Esko will provide training on artwork origination software and pre-press. Day two of the workshop will include classroom presentations coupled with live tutorials of slitting, seaming, inspection, application and shrinking of heat shrink sleeve labels and roll ‘n’ shrink labels.

Instructors include Tony Couling, George Michaels and Séamus Lafferty of Accraply, Inc.; Darryl Parks of Bonset America; Keith LaBombard of Esko; Tom Hammer of Flint Group; Ronny Ben-Shoshan of Polysack Flexible Packaging; and Dr. William Llewellyn of AWA Alexander Watson Associates.

Introduction to Heat Shrink Sleeve Label Technologies Workshop closes for registrations on May 12th. As participation is limited, interested parties should apply as soon as possible via the AWA website, www.awa-bv.com.
